The Scrubr by Lunatec: A Product Review

scrubr-by-lunatecHere’s the scenario… You’re out in the wilderness camping or maybe you’re stuck in a survival situation.  You end up making a meal for you and your family and then start to pack things up when it suddenly dawns on you, “Oh crap, I have nothing to properly clean these dishes with!”.  Luckily, there is a great new product on the market that will make this chore for you a breeze!  Today I present to you a neat and very useful little product that I just recently discovered called the Scrubr by Lunatec.

scruby-by-lunatec-rolled-upThis handy little scrubber/wash cloth is one of those items that are often forgotten to be added to a survival kit, camping gear or bug out bag.  The Scrubr is made from Lunatec’s patented QuickDri material.  It dries extremely fast (around 10-15 minutes), is very durable, extremely lightweight, doesn’t retain any odors and debris even rinses out with ease.  The Scrubr is an excellent piece of gear for any camper, prepper, survivalist or outdoor enthusiast to add to their checklist.

I wanted to give this thing a real test to see just how durable it was and how well it would work.  I used it to wash my all my dishes and then decided to try it out on my camping pot set.  I cooked some rice and left some in the bottom of the pot for a few hours.  To my surprise, the Scrubr actually cleans just as good as steel wood except it has the added bonus that it’s still soft enough so you can use it to wash your face or other parts of the body if need be.

For those of you want some exact specifications and details, here they are:

– Dimensions: 20cm x 20cm
– Weight: 5g
– Material: 60% Nylon / 40% Polyester
– Dry Time: About 10-15 minutes, prevents odors and reduces bacteria.
– Debris easily rinses free.
– Elastic loop makes it convenient to hang and doubles as a compression strap.
– Excels at cleaning dishes, pots, and pans.
– Provides months of daily use…years if used infrequently.
– Loose fibers may be melted with a small flame, fusing them together to prevent fraying.
– Versatility of material allows for ‘MacGyver-ism’…
– We’ve found it serves as a coffee filter in a tight spot.
– Works great for home use too.

All in all, this is a great little product and I recommend you try it out. At it’s inexpensive price you can’t go wrong!  Check out Lunatec’s website and order a few of them today!

I received the Scrubr for free from Lunatec as coordinated by Deep Creek Public Relations in consideration for review publication.
